The Perry Van Wie Memorial Fund is named after the first handy-man at the Black Hills Playhouse. Perry and his wife Lila "adopted" the BHP, volunteering their time. This fund was established by Perry's wife, Lila Van Wie when he passed away. Dollars from this fund help with capital projects at the BHP campus and help meet the 5% legislative mandate to use 5% of operating expenses at the BHP campus for repair & maintenance of buildings and capital projects.
